What is C.L. Holley Ministries?
C.L. Holley Ministries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2002 by Charles and Cassandra Holley, shortly after the death of their son Torrell Holley.
Charles had been called into the ministry just over one year earlier (1999), and although he and his wife were Christians at the time of their son's death, they both struggled with severe depression. However, they both re-discovered the Lord in their own way and in their own time.
Their son's death and their sturggles opened their eyes to many hurting Christians around them and they founded the ministry at first, as a ministry of comfort and encouragement, but over the years it has grown, as they have matured, into a ministry dedicated to "Pulling Down Strongholds" in the human mind and "Advancing the Kingdom" by preaching and teaching the Word. Who is Charles Holley?
Charles Holley is a preacher, teacher, husband and father who was called into the ministry in 1999. He has served in various leadership roles in different churches over the years and became an author after the sudden death of his thirteen-year-old son in 2001.
After battling depression and doubting his faith, he discovered the Lord in a fresh encounter that changed his entire perspective on faith. During his son's funeral, Charles experienced the tangible Presence of the Lord for the first time and that life-changing event jump-started his pursuit of close fellowship with God the Father.
Charles has written several spiritual books, some based on his personal faith journey, others on solid teaching concerning spiritual growth, and one auto-biographical book based on racial healing that received an international award for outstanding non-fiction.
